The Library is here for you. We are open and better than ever! We are happy to announce that in-person programming has resumed. The library is now fine-free. Late fines have been eliminated for most items going forward. Please see the library staff for full details.

Adult & Teen Programs

Rahway Valley Jerseyaires
Saturday, June 4 at 2:00pm.
Join us for an afternoon of music in the Library Cafe. The Rahway Valley Jerseyaires are a mixed a cappella chorus located in Rahway, NJ. They are an official chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. This event is free and registration is not required.

Board Game Night
Wednesday, June 8 6:00-7:30pm.
Come out and enjoy some board games at the library! Have some fun and meet some new friends. Play an old favorite or something new. Players of all skill levels are welcome! Book to Screen Talk
Monday, June 13 6:00pm-7:00pm.
Let’s meet to share all things about our favorite books that were adapted into movies. Light refreshments will be served.

Reader’s Room Book Discussion
Wednesday, June 15 6:30pm-7:30pm.

Teen Afternoon Movie
Thursday, June 16 at 3:30pm
Teens! Join us after school in our auditorium and relax with a hilarious jazz and heart-filled animated feature! For ages 13-17.

Jazz Night
Wednesday, June 22 at 6:00pm.
Join us for an evening of Jazz with Joey Mintel. This event is free and registration is not required. Light refreshments will be served.

Discovery Studio Programs (Teens & Adults)

Crochet Club is Back
Monday’s, June 6 & 20 at 6:00pm.
Join us in our Discovery Studio on the 1st & 3rd Monday of every month at 6:00pm. Bring your hooks and yarn. Work on a project or learn a new technique! No registration required. Recommended for ages 16+.

AnkaraPaj
Thursday, June 9 from 10:00-12:00pm.
Join fiber artist Lisa Shepard Stewart and learn basic decoupage techniques to create a gorgeous freestyle art piece using African (Ankara) print scraps. The colors, patterns and overall energy of African/Ankara prints (even in tiny pieces) will elevate any creative project, and decoupage is no exception! Recommended for teens & adults.

Discovery Studio Teens
Wednesday, June 15 at 3:30pm.
Bring a white t-shirt and decorate it with our Juneteenth flag transfer! Or, design your own using our supplies. Wear your design to celebrate freedom on our newest federal holiday! For teens 13-17.

Adult Craft in the Afternoon
Saturday, June 18 at 1:00pm.
Join us in the Discovery Studio and show your Pride! Turn up-cycled CDs into rainbow-colored sun catchers in honor of LGBTQ
Pride Month.

Every Monday brings a new curbside craft! Drop in anytime and ask for a kit at the Circulation desk. Supplies are included and quantities are limited.

Toddler Time
Tuesdays, June 14, 21 & 28 at 10:30am.
We will be talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing during this storytime. Ages birth-4 with caregiver.

Pajama Storytime
Thursday, June 9 at 6:00pm.
Listen to some stories in your jammies! All ages.

Saturday Storytime
Saturday, June 11 at 11:00am.

Kids Bingo
Wednesday, June 15 at 4:00pm.
Play BINGO and win prizes! Ages 5-12.

Family Fun Night
Thursday, June 23 at 6:00pm.
Bring your family to the library for a fun activity! All ages.

Toddler Dance Party

Come on out to play instruments and dance! Ages birth–5.

Graphic Novel Book Club
Wednesday, June 29 at 4pm.
Read this month’s book and take part in discussion and group activities. Call the library for the title and to reserve a copy of the book. Ages 8-12. Registration required.
