Linden Announces Winners of Black History Month Contest

Black History Month Contest Winners

The winners of this year’s Black History Month Poster Contest, hosted by the City of Linden Parks & Recreation Department, are Rebecca Joseph from School #4 and Chiamaka Orekie from School #10. Rebecca’s poster recognizes Ruby Bridges, the first African American to integrate an elementary school in the South. Chiamaka’s poster features Akeelah and the Bee, a life-affirming, heartwarming story that inspires viewers on multiple levels. Congratulations, Rebecca and Chiamaka!
