Night of Service Benefits 7 Organizations

Girl Scouts 2022 Night of Service

Long Hill Township Girl Scouts

Long Hill Township Senior Girl Scouts hosted a “Night of Service” on April 8, 2022. The event benefited 7 local organizations. All Girl Scout levels in the service unit were invited to attend.

Through the generous donations of 60 scout families, they were able to collect multiple carloads of toiletries and household goods benefitting women escaping domestic violence through the YWCA and 12 Baskets Food Pantry at All Saints’ Church.

The Girls Scouts rotated stations at the event and made over 100 matching “buddy bracelets” for WithGrace, pairing souts with pediatric cancer patients for support and solidarity.

Participants also made 50 Sensory Bottle Therapy Tools for children with autism at TUT (The UnCommon Thread), 100 dog toys for Home For Good Dog rescue, and created 50 reusable grocery bags for those in need for Shoprite, and made 50 Toy Battery Interrupters to adapt switches for children with disabilities, making every day play accessible.

The event was an enjoyable, learning experience for all the scouts benefitting wonderful local organizations.
