New Jersey Veterans Network

The New Jersey Veterans Network (NJVN) are a group of veterans and volunteers dedicated to helping our veterans and their families live better lives.

In 2016 the Operation Rebound Racing team (ORRT) was created under the umbrella of NJVN and organized its first charity event. The ORRT is a racing team that uses physical fitness and sporting events to help empower and give a purpose to our disabled veterans and first responders. The team decided to do a 200-mile bicycle ride in 22 hours, in honor of victims from the 9-11 World Trade Center terrorist attack. Team member Brian Ford, a Florham Park Police Lieutenant, helped organize the event and participated in it as well. After this event, Lt Ford began to assist the team with extreme events that helped bring awareness to both veteran and first responder suicide and PTSD. Lt Ford is extremely active with the team and has competed in numerous ultra and long distance events.

A few years later Lt Ford became a member of the New Jersey Veterans Network, a mobile outreach team that aggressively seeks out veterans and their families in need. Lt Ford became a team board member and  has helped with various projects and events.

Recently, Lt Ford and the Florham Park PBA spearheaded a business attire and suit drive. All the clothing will be used to help our veterans with interviews and future employment.

Both the ORRT and NJVN are extremely fortunate to have such a dedicated and committed individual on the team.
