Hooked on Fishing Clinic

Clark Recreation held the Annual “Hooked on Fishing” Clinic on Saturday, April 29 at Tamaques Park. Fourteen children participated in the class, learning how to hook a worm, cast a line and reel in the catch.
The program began years ago instructed by avid fisherman and volunteer Lenny Grieco and his wife Dawn. This year, their grandchildren, Anton and Jordan Zambell assisted.
Members of the Cranford Rod and Gun Club volunteered their time as well. Member Mark Conforti coordinated the club members to donate their time and breakfast to the kids.
This year’s event found the weather a bit chilly causing the fish to stay away from most of the lines, but a few fish were caught and a great time was had by everyone.
