Many Westfield High School (WHS) students received recognition for their achievements in world languages this year. Eighty-three students recently were inducted into the National Honor Societies for French, Spanish, Italian and Chinese, with 20 excelling in French, 40 in Spanish, 9 in Italian, and 14 in Chinese. Additionally, 90 WHS seniors attained the Seal of Biliteracy, an award granted to students who attain proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation.

“We celebrate our students’ accomplishments with pride,” says Enrique Pincay, Supervisor of K-12 World Languages/ELL. “Although our students have experienced unique challenges throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, they continued to consistently perform well in the Seal of Biliteracy assessments, and to meet the criteria to be inducted into the National Honor Societies. We congratulate all of our students.”
