Twelve Local Chambers Hold Power Networking Event in Clark

Twelve local and regional chambers of commerce held a joint power networking event July 26 at the Clark Holiday Inn, drawing approximately 150 business professionals from Union, Middlesex, Somerset counties and beyond.
The event was a joint effort of the Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce, which spearheaded the gathering; the Black Business Alliance Chamber of Commerce; the Clark Chamber of Commerce; the Cranford Chamber of Commerce; the Edison Chamber of Commerce; the Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce; the Linden Chamber of Commerce; the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce; the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce; the Suburban Chamber of Commerce; the Irish Business Association; and the Somerset Hills Business Network.
“Networking is the life blood of any small to medium-sized business, as well as business development professionals within larger companies,” said Jim Coyle, president of the gateway regional Chamber of Commerce. “As chambers of commerce, it is our job to facilitate networking for our members and to put them in positions to connect with potential customers and strategic partners. This was an opportunity to do so on a much larger scale than any of these chambers normally can do singularly.”
Coyle anticipates the joint event will become an annual gathering.
