Mrs. Karen DeMaio from St.Theresa School in Kenilworth read the book “Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand” to her 2nd grade class at St. Theresa School in Kenilworth.

The teacher and class were so moved by the story of Alexandra Scott that they then decided to try and raise money for the cause of fighting childhood cancer. The students sold paper lemons to the school and set a fundraising goal of $500.

They made a huge poster which they hung in the cafeteria and everyday the class would add paper lemons to the wall.

In the end they sold $628.00 in paper lemons to donate to the Alex’s Foundation to help fight childhood cancer.
