She Kills Monsters

The Summit High School (SHS) Theatre Arts program will present the dramatic comedy, She Kills Monsters, Young Adventurers Edition, for their fall play on November 17, 18, and 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the SHS Auditorium.

One of the most widely produced plays in colleges and high schools, She Kills Monsters explores themes of grief and loss, bullying, friendship, female empowerment, and acceptance of others who are often marginalized.

After the death of her younger sister, Tilly, Agnes, a high school senior, discovers a Dungeons and Dragons notebook in Tilly’s room. In an effort to connect to her sister, Agnes enters the world she once mocked. She finds herself catapulted into an imaginary and mystic world that was her sister’s comfort place. In this dramatic comedy, filled with creatures, sword fights, and pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding journey that ignites the warrior within us all.

Tickets are available at showtix4u.com/events/hilltopper and are $15 for adults and $13 for students and seniors.
