SHIP (Summit Helping Its People) is looking for hands-on helpers for its valuable community programs – join us for an hour or more. Perfect for teens looking for community service hours.

WHY VOLUNTEER WITH SHIP?For more than 30 years, SHIP has been providing breakfast and to-go lunches every weekday, and lunches every weekend.Thousands of meals have been served by SHIP volunteers since its inception, for people experiencing food insecurity.

WHAT ARE THE SHIP PROGRAMS?We serve breakfast every weekday morning from 6 AM to 7:30 AM. Most days are grab-and-go meals, with sit-down hot breakfasts on Fridays, which we are looking to expand to five days.We serve grab-and-go lunches on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the same location.We have paid staff, and adult volunteers, on site every day of the week at our location at Calvary Church, 31 Woodland Ave [side entrance], in downtown Summit.

WHO SHOULD VOLUNTEER WITH SHIP ? YOU!Please consider joining us for an hour or more, any day of the week. You’ll help with meal preparation (including cooking), serving, sorting of food donations, etc.
