Dementia Caregivers Support Group. Friday, June 8, 11 a.m.
Phyllis Flemming, former Exec. Director of Victorian Garden Adult Day Center and experienced dementia support group facilitator, moderates this monthly group.

Fall Prevention. Monday, June 11, 12:30 p.m.
Mary Avenoso, Community Outreach Coordinator with the Visiting Nurse Assoc. of Northern New Jersey, will discuss what factors put someone at risk for a fall and ways to prevent falls inside and outside the home. Sign-up required.

Health Benefits of Dairy Foods. Tuesday, June 12, 12:45 p.m.
Nicole O’Brien, RD at ShopRite of Chatham will discuss healthy ways to incorporate more nutrient-rich dairy products into our diets. Tastings and recipes, too.

AARP Driver Safety Course. Monday, June 18 or Monday, July 16, both from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This defensive driving program is geared for the “over 50” population by offering help with age-related changes. Course completion could earn you a discount on car insurance. Will be completed in one full-day session with breaks. $15 for AARP members, $20 for non-members. Checks only (payable to AARP) and must be paid in advance. Must sign up.

“Saving the Great Swamp: Battle to Defeat the Jetport.” Friday, June 22, 12:30 p.m.
Award-winning filmmaker, Scott Morris, will introduce his documentary about the people and events that saved the Great Swamp from being developed into a 10,000-acre jetport. Sign up requested.

AARP Carfit. Monday, June 25, 10 a.m. to noon.
A free, interactive, and educational program that teaches participants how to make their cars “fit” them to increase safety and mobility when on the road. Each checkup takes about 20 minutes. Must call to schedule appt.
