SAGE Eldercare Recieves Relief Grant from JLS

SAGE Eldercare recently received a generous COVID-19 relief grant from the Junior League of Summit. The grant will benefit SAGE’s programs: Home Care, Meals on Wheels, Spend-A-Day Adult Day Medical Center, Support Groups, Educational Programs, InfoCare and Medicare Counseling. “We are so appreciative of the support we have received from the Junior League during this very difficult time,” said SAGE Interim Executive Director, Marianne Kranz. “The Junior League’s generosity is helping the most vulnerable older adults in this community who depend on our services.” Since the beginning of COVID-19, the nonprofit has had an increase in requests for assistance from homebound, isolated neighbors in Summit and the surrounding area.

“The Junior League of Summit recognizes that the current public health crisis has significantly impacted the community’s ability to serve those most vulnerable at this time. We were honored to be able to support our Community Partners with these emergency funds. We appreciate and value the important work SAGE does for older adults and are pleased we were able to support the organization and their clients during this unprecedented time.,” said Tara Charvaet, President of the Junior League of Summit.
