Rahway Public Library Welcomes New Director
The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Sloat as the new director of the Rahway Public Library. Ian comes to this position with over eight years’ experience with libraries and several years as an administrator. He holds a Master of Library Sciences from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts and a Masters of Liberal Arts from Duke University in Durham, NC. Ian has extensive experience in community outreach, creating partnerships and grant development, in addition, he is an active participant in NJ library associations. His first commitment is addressing the stages of reopening and the delivery of services during the pandemic, while working with the staff and board on the future direction of the library for our patrons and the Rahway community.
