Rahway High School Senior, Darius Singletary, made his senior year even more noteworthy when he brought home the titles of County and State Bowling Champion.

As an added bonus to the spectacular season, his coach, Michael Keat, was named the NJ.com Boys Bowling Coach of the Year. Darius credits the efforts of his team and coach for this incredible season. Darius went into the season with the goal of just doing better than the last and is proud to have far exceeded expectations. He feels this is a great achievement for his team as well. He noted that every team member had improved and is happy to have contributed to the team’s success overall.

Mr. Singletary has been bowling since he was three with his dad, who is also an avid bowler. Since that time he has had several coaches and has consistently worked to improve his technique. Darius plans to continue bowling while attending NJIT to earn a Marketing degree. When asked about his future plans, Darius replied, “I feel that I have a gift. I would like to share this with others and come back to be an assistant coach with Mr. Keat.” He would like to thank his team, coach and family for their support. Darius stated that he plans to continue bowling for fun and encourages others to do the same!
