RahwayFood for Friends is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization which is 100% run by dedicated, hard-working volunteers. They have been feeding the hungry in Rahway since 1991. They operate both a monthly food pantry distribution program, as well as a weekly soup kitchen. The Food Pantry, which requires registration, is housed at 1221 New Brunswick Avenue in Rahway, and distributes over 200 bags of food, including diabetic bags. Every Saturday, approximately 100 free hot meals are served to those in need at the First Presbyterian Church in Rahway, located at 1731 Church Street.
Funds are needed to provide these services. The organization’s longevity in serving the community of Rahway is due largely to the financial generosity of their supporters and the public.
