New CTVFD Member Olivia Bary

Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department

Please join us in congratulating Olivia Bary, who was officially sworn as a member of the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department (CTVFD) in August.

Olivia joined the department in January 2021 through the CTVFD’s Junior Firefighter Program and went on to earn her Firefighter 1 certification at the Morris County Fire Academy. According to Olivia, “the fire service is like a family, and the longer I’m around the firehouse, the more that idea is solidified.”

Olivia graduated from Chatham High School and will be attending Boston University this fall. Deputy Chief James Soccodato shared that, “the CTVFD is very proud of Olivia. Not only is she a great addition to our team but hopefully she will inspire more women and high school students to join us.”

If you are a high school junior or senior and would like to join, please email membership@ctfd.org.
