Mountainside Tree Lighting

The Mountainside Christmas Tree was lit on Saturday, December 3rd at the annual tree lighting ceremony. The popular landmark is located at the corner of Route 22 East and New Providence Road next to the Rescue Squad building. The Mayor officially light the tree, and the Scouts sang carols.

(above) Mountainside Scouts led the crowd in singing Christmas carols.
(above) The Mountainside Historical Committee sold hot chocolate and cookies. Proceeds from this sale will benefit the restoration and maintenance of the Hetfield and Levi Cory Houses.
