Twenty-eight Millburn Students Named National Merit Finalists

National Merit Finalists

Millburn Township Public Schools

Twenty-eight Millburn High School seniors have been named National Merit Finalists in the 2022 Competition for National Merit Scholarships. They are among 15,000 students who are now eligible for Merit Scholarship Awards, which will be announced in late spring. All winners of Merit Scholarship awards (Merit Scholar® designees) are chosen from the Finalist group based on their abilities, skills, and accomplishments—without regard to gender, race, ethnic origin, or religious preference. A variety of information is available for NMSC to evaluate: The Finalist’s academic record, information about the school’s curriculum and grading system, PSAT/NMSQT Selection Index score, the high school official’s written recommendation, information about the student’s activities and leadership, and the Finalist’s own essay. From now to mid-June, approximately 7,500 finalists will be notified as recipients of scholarship awards.

This year’s MHS Finalists are: Nikhil Bansal, Maria Beloreshka, Megan Bowen, Aaron Chan, Eric Dong, Aryan Dugar, Ashutosh Gajbinkar, Ishaan Ghosh, Ruihan Hu, Angela Huang, Karen Huang, Yuliu Huang, Sophia Klymchuk, Yuwen Liang, Dhruv Pande, Ryan Park, Liam Pilarski, Roberto Prieto, Aaryan Pugazendhi, Zubin Rekhi, Ishaan Salhotra, Veronica Song, Caroline Sun, Sophia Wang, William Young, Laura Zang, Jacqueline Zhou, Margaret Zhu.
