Millburn High School Chorus and Orchestra Concert

The Music Department of Millburn High School proudly presents its annual Spring Chorus and Orchestra Concert on Thursday, June 1, at 7:30 P.M., in the high school auditorium. This concert is free and open to the public. Ensembles are under the direction of Ms. Flora Yousefi, Director of Orchestras, and Mr. Rodrigo Vega, Director of Choirs.
Chamber Strings will perform movements from Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik and Vivaldi’s “Summer” from The Four Seasons.Chorale will present an arrangement of Adele’s song Set Fire to the Rain, The Lake Isle of Innisfree by Eleanor Daley, as well as a rendition of the traditional Mexican song Las Amarillas. The Symphony Orchestra will perform Notturno, an arrangement of a movement from Borodin’s 2nd String Quartet. They will also perform two operatic overtures, Rossini’s The Barber of Seville and Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus. This will be followed by a combined Chorus and Chamber Orchestra performance of Mozart’sAve verum corpus.
The Cantica Nova and Miller Chorus will perform pieces by Earlene Rentz, Philip Silvey, Morten Lauridsen, and Brian Tate. The Miller Chorus and Cantica Nova will sing together to perform All For Us by Timothey “Labrinth” McKenzie.
