Scotch Plains Mayor Al Smith recently announced his “Do You Know This Scotch Plains Business?” initiative to promote Scotch Plains and its businesses. The Mayor announced he plans to visit each Scotch Plains business to take pictures and film short videos of business and property owners and feature them on social media and the Township website to promote Scotch Plains and bring more people to shop and eat here.
The first stop on Mayor Smith’s tour of Scotch Plains businesses was the famous Snuffy’s Pantagis Renaissance Restaurant located at 250 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Mayor Smith enjoyed some of Snuffy’s famous cheesecake for lunch while visiting.
“Snuffy’s is a landmark in Scotch Plains, and their cheesecake is excellent,” said Mayor Al Smith. “Please come on down to Snuffy’s and try their famous cheesecake and buffet.”
“I thank the Mayor very much for coming to Snuffy’s,” said Nick Pantagis, owner of Snuffy’s. “We’ve been here for fifty years and people come from all around to enjoy our buffet and famous cheesecake. I really enjoy our customers and the people of Scotch Plains. Snuffy’s is just one of our many great businesses in Scotch Plains, and I look forward to visiting our other businesses over the coming weeks to help feature them on our social media and website, said Mayor Smith. Let’s bring more people to Scotch Plains to enjoy the many great things about our town!”
“In conjunction with my redevelopment efforts to grow Scotch Plains and make it an even better place to live, I plan to dedicate my time to promote the businesses, attractions, and organizations that are open right now in Scotch Plains,” the Mayor Smith stated.
“I strongly believe that it is essential for the Township government to form public-private partnerships with private businesses and property owners to grow our town and make our redevelopment efforts successful and encourage more growth and development. Everyone must work together to make our town successful,” the Mayor emphasized.
