Linden Veterans Council Memorial Day Services: Honoring those who made the Supreme Sacrifice

The Linden Veterans Council, American Legion, Post 102, Catholic War Veterans, Post 497, Marine League, Martin Danoski Detachment, Polish Legion of American Veterans, Post 91, Vietnam Veterans, Chapter 779 and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 397 will conduct their annual program of Honoring Veterans who made the supreme sacrifice for their country.

The Linden Veterans Council invites all citizens who have family members who served this nation are invited to join the Linden Veterans in honoring their Military Comrades. On Saturday May 23rd, the veterans will be performing the honoring of our deceased comrades by flag placement activities on veteran graves. The participating members of the veteran remembrance activity will visit Rose Dale, Rose Hill and Mount Cavalry in Linden.

All Veterans, LHS ROTC and Linden Residents will assemble at American Legion, Post 102, at 112 E. Elizabeth Ave. at 8:30 am for a light Breakfast, then proceed to the cemeteries.

The placing of memorial wreaths ceremony on City of Linden Veterans Monuments will take place on Monday, May 25th, All Veterans, LHS ROTC and Linden Residents will assemble at American Legion, Post 102, at 112 E. Elizabeth Ave. at 8:30 am for a light Breakfast, then proceed to the City Monuments by Bus.

10:45 School #1, Curtis & Gibbons Street, All Veterans Monument
11:00 Wilson Park, Summit Terr., Purple Heart and Local Neighborhood Veterans Monument
11:15 Knosky Park, Stiles & Elm St., Marine League and Local Neighborhood Veterans Monument
11:30 Linden City Hall, N. Wood Ave. WW 2, Korea & Vietnam Monuments

The above time schedule could vary by a few minutes. Residents are invited meet the Veterans entourage at a specific Monument listed above or to join the Veterans escorted entourage from the American Legion Hall to visit all the City Monuments.
