LHBSA Announces Their Traditional Opening Day Parade

Submitted by Jim Langell

The Long Hill Baseball & Softball Association (LHBSA) is pleased to announce our traditional opening day parade will be held on Saturday April 14, 2018, beginning at 10 a.m. This date is weather dependent.
Although games will start the week of April 9, the parade is a tradition that marks the launch of the Spring Recreation baseball and softball season. The season runs into June, ending with championship games, grilled foods, a carnival, and fireworks spectacular.
The opening day parade goes starts across from Shoprite on Bay Street in Stirling and continues down Poplar to the fields where all teams are announced. Families are asked to park in the Elks Lodge parking lot on Valley Road.
Players typically make customized team banners as a display of team pride.
LHBSA is a non-profit organization established to provide youth baseball and softball programs for players within Long Hill Township. For more information, visit: leaguelineup.com
