Jewelry Sale to Support Clark Public Library

By Maryanne Christiano-Mistretta

Friends of the Clark Public Library recently had a jewelry sale, with proceeds benefiting the library. There was a variety of vintage and gently used costume jewelry, like necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, and pins, which was donated to the library.
According to Karen DeMarco, president of Friends of the Clark Public Library, jewelry sales are held twice a year to raise money for the library. With the jewelry sales and other small events held throughout the year, “It all adds up,” said DeMarco.
The mission of Friends of the Clark Public Library is to raise funds for the Clark Library to support programs and services not covered by the general municipal funds; to encourage use of the public library by local citizens to build strong minds and foster community; to advocate for library services locally and statewide; and to assist the library in providing cultural programming, recreational reading, and research materials for the children of Clark.
They are looking for members and/or volunteers to plan and assist with various fundraisers. To contact Friends of the Clark Library, email: clarklibraryfol@gmail.com.
The Clark Public Library is located at 303 Westfield Avenue, Clark, New Jersey. Visit the Clark Library at: youseemore.com/ClarkPL/default.asp or call 732-388-5999.
