Election Day
June 7 all day
The Garwood Public Library is a polling location for the primary election. The Library will be open, the children’s section will be closed. There will be no seating available. Quick browsing and check out of adult books are permitted.

Library Board Meeting
June 8 at 7:30 pm
A meeting of the Garwood Library Board of Trustees will take place in the Library. This meeting is open to the public.

Storytime in the Library
June 14 at 10:30 am and 11:30am
Join Miss Maryanne for stories, bubbles and more at 10:30 am and 11:30 in the library. Registration Required. Limit 10 per session.

Virtual Kid’s Craft
June 14 at 3 pm
Pick up supplies for the craft and then watch the craft tutorial on the Library’s Facebook page at 3 pm. The video will be available for viewing thereafter. Registration is required for craft kits and is limited to 15 participants. Sign up on the Library website’s events calendar or by phone.

Classic Movie Friday
June 10 and 24 at noon.
Join us for Classic Movie Fridays featuring memorable movies from the 50s and 60s. Light refreshments will be served. Registration require

Virtual Adult Craft
June 21 at 3pm

Author, Robyn Gigl

The Libraries of Union Speaker Series presents an evening with Attorney, Activist, and Author of the Erin McCabe Legal Thrillers set in New Jersey. Her debut novel By Way of Sorrow, featuring transgender criminal defense attorney Erin McCabe, was called “quietly groundbreaking” by New York Times. Union County, NJ features prominently in her follow-up, Survivor’s Guilt, which was released in January 2022. Robyn has recently signed with Kensington Press to release two more novels in the series. Summer Reading Opening Event
June 28 at 2 pm
Join us for a Summer Reading Kick Off event in the Library Parking Lot with giveaways, water fun, and ice cream from the SCREAM TRUCK This event is open to those who are registered for summer reading. Registration required.

Pirate Magic Show
June 29 at 1:30pm
Join Muscle Man Mike and his puppet pal Pirate Pete for non-stop pirate magic. It’s a treasure chest of fun.
