The National Endowment For The Arts finds that the Arts are a powerful and important part of what unites us. The arts celebrate our differences while connecting us through shared experiences. It is precisely this ability, this action, that makes Arts of all kinds such an important force in human life. It is a way to arrive at a broader sense of the world, to see the way that other people live and the values that we share or that are different than our own. Art brings insight, joy, empathy, understanding and a realization that we are all a lot more alike than we might believe.
