Full Steam Ahead Maker Academy Concludes

The Kenilworth Public Library’s 2018 Full Steam Ahead Maker Academy program recently concluded with a final program offering all the participants and family members an opportunity to view the Broadway play School of Rock at the Winter Garden Theater located in New York City.

Following the play, all children and teens returned to the library to receive their certificate of participation.

The library hosted a summer-long odyssey into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. The Kenilworth Maker Academy was funded by the generous support of the Ralph Errington Charitable Foundation.

Children and teens applied for entry into the Academy. Entrants were chosen by lottery and were admitted to a series of exciting and educational classes hosted by Wondergy, Mad Science of Union and Hudson Counties, and professional musician Caryn Lin. Activities included robotics, coding, learning about lasers, engineering concepts, and the science of sound.
