Local Law Enforcement Officers Bring Special Olympics Torch Through Fanwood and Scotch Plains

Fanwood-Scotch Plains Police Torch Run

Fanwood and Scotch Plains police officers took part in this year’s Special Olympics Torch Run, a statewide, daylong marathon along 26 separate routes, involving 3,000 New Jersey law enforcement officers. The annual event raises funds and awareness for the Special Olympics. This year’s route took our officers through downtown Fanwood along South and Martine Avenues, then into Scotch Plains up Park Avenue to Front and Terrill where they handed off the torch to the next group. Well done, officers!
