Destiny After School Haven (DASH), held a Family Math Night in November that included parents, teachers, and students. Dr. Kevin Robinson, Supervisor of STEM, conducted a workshop that included an overview of the math program in Rahway, as well as an activity that included solving math problems with the audience. Parents and students tackled various word problems that would help in preparation for the upcoming New Jersey state assessment (PARCC). Students displayed their expertise in mathematics by teaching the group various methods to solve these problems. It was an exciting evening that fostered a connection between the school and community.
