Ella Seeto Wins Police Logo Contest

Cranford Police Department

This summer, the Cranford Police Department collaborated with Cougar Headquarters to hold a Logo Contest for all youth artists in the community. Using the existing Cranford Police Department Logo as inspiration, participants were asked to create their own community-oriented artwork that integrated the police patch in their rendering. The Community Outreach Unit is pleased to announce that Cranford resident Ella Seeto is the first annual logo contest winner for her blue-and-gold themed design.

In the past, Cranford officers were polled to ask which words represented the tradition and history of the organization, and the words “community, honor and integrity” became common responses. Ella’s design included these 3 words along with the “Cranford cougar paw”, hearts, Cranford’s zip code, and a togetherness-inspired illustration of the people in our community. In addition to being honored as the winner, Downtown Cranford provided Ella with a Vanilla Bean Creamery gift certificate.

Ella’s artwork was provided to Cougar Headquarters where Donna Marino and her staff collaborated to incorporate this design on a t-shirt. Once the t-shirt was created, Cougar Headquarters established a designated “online store” so residents could conveniently purchase their own t-shirts with Ella’s designed logo. All proceeds from the sales will be donated to Cranford Family Care, a not-for-profit organization that assists families in need in our community.
