On Jan 9, 2017, the 6th grade Gifted and Talented students at Roosevelt School in Rahway attended the Union County GT Convocation C.S.I.( Crime Scene Investigation). This convocation allowed students to use skills such as the scientific method, scientific research, critical thinking, making observations, analyzing facts and drawing conclusions to solve a crime. The case was titled. “The Felix Mystery: Case of the Missing Millionaire”.
Students were divided into teams each team had a chance to observe the crime scene. They could take pictures, make sketches and record what the crime scene looked like before anyone touched anything. The suspects were introduced, and their alibis heard. Next, students participated in 10 stations.
