American Legion Auxiliary Winter Food Collection

Submitted by Judy Duran

The Clark American Legion Auxiliary Unit 328 collected non-perishable food stuff to deliver to the St. John’s Food Pantry and Give and Share Program. Collections were gathered at the American Legion Post 328 on Westfield Avenue. The collection is still in progress as the winter months ahead pose a food security challenge for many Americans.

Non-perishables such as: tuna, pasta, beans, rice, soup and vegetables are distributed to families in the Clark area. Donations can be brought to the American Legion at 78 Westfield Avenue, Clark. The entrance to the Post is on Broadway Avenue anytime between the hours of 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Legion Auxiliary thanks all who have donated to this worthy cause. Donations are taken to the food pantry located at St. John The Apostle Church on Valley Road, Clark/Linden border.
