CHS Choir Invites Alumni to Perform Virtual Hallelujah Chorus

CHS Choir Invites Alumni to Perform

In the midst of extremely challenging times, the Cranford High School Choral program adapts and continues to create musical art. The singing of the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah is a long-standing tradition at the CHS Winter Choral Concert.

Normally, CHS Choir alumni are invited onstage to perform with the current students, providing a grand finale to the performance. While the pandemic will prevent an in-person concert from occurring, the CHS Concert Choir would still like to honor the tradition and invite alumni to submit videos to create a virtual choir of the Hallelujah Chorus.

Any Cranford High School Choir alumni are invited to participate. Videos will need to be submitted by Friday, December 11. Detailed directions, accompaniment track, and sheet music are posted on cranfordmusic.org.

The CHS Concert Choir hopes all choir alumni consider participating in the modified tradition, singing the Hallelujah Chorus. Contact Anthony Rafaniello,Director of Choral Activities, with any questions at rafaniello@cranfordschools.org or 908-709-6312.
