Christ Child Society of Summit
The Christ Child Society of Summit (CCS) hosted its annual Baby Shower in the Memorial Hall of St. Teresa of Avila Church on April 19, 2023. CCS provides layettes and diapers to families who cannot otherwise afford them. Through the generosity of its members, CCS will now be serving families from the time their babies are born with a $25,000 donation to the Overlook Foundation in support of the hospital’s renovation of its maternity ward. The newly remodeled center will have a patient room with a plaque stating “Christ Child Society of Summit – dedicated to serving the needs of children and families in the community.” 55% of maternity patients at Overlook Hospital are from disadvantaged backgrounds.
