Chief William G. Parenti Announces Swearing in of Two New North Plainfield Officers

Chief Parenti, along with Mayor Michael Giordano, recently conducted the Oath of Office at the North Plainfield Borough Council Meeting before a large gathering of family, friends, and residents.  Sworn in as probationary officers were; Valerio Zuena and Gregory Ternlund. Sworn in as Detective was Joseph Mazza, sworn in as Probationary Sergeant was Michael vonSpreckelsen, sworn in as Probationary Lieutenant was Alan McKay and sworn in as Probationary Captain was Russell Flynn.
The promotions follow the retirement of Captain Gerard Clyne on February 28, 2018 after 30 years of service to the Police Department. The hiring of Zuena and Ternlund brings the number of sworn officers back to 46.
