Boy Scout Seeks Funding for Greenhouse Project

Submitted by Gregory Diamond

Green Brook Boy Scouts have a history of doing worthwhile projects in and around the local community.
Glen Diamond has been a resident of Green Brook his entire life. He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 129 which meets weekly at Green Brook Middle School (GBMS), where he also attended middle school up until 2014. He is now a senior at Watchung Hills Regional High School. Glen has been involved in scouting since third grade.
Before finishing school and moving on to college, Glen is working towards achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. One of the requirements to earn the rank of Eagle Scout involves completing a service project to benefit the local community. For his project, Glen is working on purchasing and constructing a greenhouse for GBMS. This would give the teachers and students at GBMS an additional place for learning activities outside the classroom. Glen hopes to complete this project in the spring of 2018.
Currently this project is in the fundraising stage, and any donations towards the cost of this greenhouse project would be greatly appreciated. For more information, and to learn how to support this project, please go online to: gofundme.com/glens-eagle-scout-project
