An out of the box Christmas

In December, St. Theresa School in Kenilworth held its annual Christmas show called “An out of the box Christmas.” The story is created by Celeste Clydesdale and arranged by David T. Clydesdale.

The show takes place at the final dress rehearsal for the Christmas pageant. The costumes finally arrive and when they are pulled “out of the box,” they are all wrong. Working together, the children come up with some unique, comical and heartfelt ways to share the Christmas message with their friends and family. After all, if God can use a donkey to speak to Balaam and a burning bush to speak to Moses… he can surely use cowboys, pirates, and cheerleaders to tell his love story. We learn that we never know what our great big God will do to reach someone with His love.

Students in Kindergarten to 2nd grade class practiced until they were perfect and ready to perform for the school and parents.

1st and 2nd grade were the chorus for the seven musical numbers which included fun melody’s such as “A Super Duper Hero on the Faith.”
