Rahway High School Gymnast Emma Heilich Becomes State Champion
Emma Heilich is a sophomore at Rahway High School. She has been doing gymnastics since she was 2 years old. She started competing at 8 years old for Surgents Elite gymnastics in Westfield. Emma competes in gymnastics during the high school season as an Independent for Rahway High School. Emma also competes for Surgents as a JOGA level 2 gymnast. Emma qualified for the NJ State JOGA competition that was held on May 4, 2019 at Gymland in Hamilton, NJ, where she placed 1st place on vault, 9th on bars, 7th beam, 4th floor and 1st place All Around!
Emma is very excited to be Level 2 State Champion and will be moving up to Level 1 for the JOGA 2019-2020 season. Her high school season will start in September where is she is proudly looking forward to competing for Rahway and hopefully competing in college in a few years.
