Blue and Gold Club visits Linden Animal Shelter
Students from the Blue and Gold Club at Franklin Elementary School in Rahway recently visited the Friends of the Linden Animal Shelter in Linden with their club advisors, Mrs. Barbara Maher and Ms. Kym Adams. They brought ten huge bags of donations filled with items such as blankets, toys, food, snacks, kitty litter, and bowls. The kids also gave the shelter dog biscuits that they made themselves. Afterward their visit, they enjoyed a nice nature walk through the Hawk Rise Sanctuary. It was a lovely time, and the kids in this club enjoy helping the community. They are an excellent example of community service and the positive impact it can have on the community.
