Dr. Mingle is the consummate professional who genuinely believes in the value of education and he demonstrates a very strong commitment to lifelong learning.”

As noted by SCASA, Mingle has demonstrated a deep commitment to the children, families, and staff of Warren Township Schools. He stands out as a leader and role model among his colleagues throughout the county and state.

“Dr. Mingle has consistently worked to make students the top priority. In particular, Dr. Mingle led his school district through the COVID pandemic with creative problem solving. Dr. Mingle restructured his school/classroom arrangements to keep students in-person while many other districts were still doing remote learning. Dr. Mingle also implemented strategies like test-to-stay in order to keep students in school. Dr. Mingle’s peers in Somerset County look to his leadership and have all been impressed with his passion for education and the lengths that he will go to in order to make sure his students are receiving that education.”

Mingle’s commitment to the role of school Superintendent reaches far beyond his school district.

“Dr. Mingle is also recognized for his dedication to his profession through his contributions in the Somerset County Association of School Administrators where he currently serves as an active member, key contributor, and Treasurer. He is also the incoming president of the Morris-Union Jointure Commission and Vice President of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) Board of Directors.”

On Monday, June 20, The Warren Township Board of Education recognized Mingle for the recent honor.  Board President, David Brezee, read a statement from SCASA before congratulating Mingle and adding his gratitude for Mingle’s continued leadership within the district on behalf of the Board.

“The Board enthusiastically congratulates Dr. Mingle on this well-deserved award, and thanks him for his countless hours of leadership and dedication to providing an outstanding education for the students of Warren.  Anyone who has had the opportunity to work with Dr. Mingle has quickly learned of his seemingly endless capabilities and true passion for education.”

Brezee is confident that the district will continue to succeed under Mingle’s leadership.

“Guided by Dr. Mingle’s leadership, the Warren Township School District continues to be a beacon in the educational domain through its engaging and positive environment. With our growing student population in the Warren Township K-8 schools, more students will be able to benefit from Dr. Mingle’s leadership and be able to shine brighter every day.”

Mingle holds a doctorate in Education from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton, and a bachelor’s degree in History Education from the University of Delaware. Mingle is currently pursuing a law degree from Seton Hall University.

“The Warren Township School District is a special place. From our students and their families, to our community partners, to our top-notch staff in all job roles and types, to our leadership team, and to the Board of Education itself,” Mingle stated. “I can’t imagine a better place to be a superintendent. I am fortunate to have spent the last six years here and I’m happy that our hard work is serving as an inspiration for others. I am so grateful to my colleagues at the SCASA for their support.”
