The Lion’s Club of Warren hosted a memorable afternoon for families of children with special needs at the Warren Expo held on Saturday, June 18th. Autism Healthcare Collaborative(AHC), formerly known as Autism Think Tank, and the Warren Township Lions Club have a longstanding relationship and were excited to be able to offer this in-person event again to the community.

“This year is the first year since 2019 that we felt comfortable to hold this event,” said Dr Paul Abend, founder of AHC.  Participants came from neighboring towns with their extended family to enjoy an afternoon of good, old-fashioned fun at the carnival!  Families went on rides, played games, enjoyed the food and everyone left smiling!  “So often, families with special needs children cannot participate all together in an event like this since there is so much stimulation with large crowds, lights and loud music, but this event is designed for the whole family to enjoy together. We are grateful to the Lions Club and their collaboration in putting this event together,” said Dr. Abend.
