Woman’s Club of Westfield Welcomes Raphael’s Life House

At a general meeting of the Woman’s Club of Westfield held recently at The Masonic Lodge in Westfield it was the pleasure of the members to welcome Edie Coogan and Lori Ruzich who represented Raphael’s Life House in Elizabeth.

This wonderful sanctuary began in 1953 and has offered ever since to this day a safe haven for pregnant, young women who have nowhere else to turn.  The young ladies learn how to be good mothers and are schooled in parenting classes and  learn the ability to support  themselves while living in an ideal  environment.  This is a safe place where the mothers are given the chance to rebuild their lives regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, or economic status.

All are welcomed at Raphael’s Life House and are offered the help that they need to begin new lives with their babies.
