WESTFIELD RECREATION REVEALS EVENTS AND PROGRAMS FOR SPRING

Spring is almost here! It’s time to join the Recreation Department on our mission to keep the community active with our “Be Active, Be Healthy” movement! If your New Year’s Resolution is to get healthy, come join our “Zumba” program on Monday evenings at 7:30pm with Peggy and our “Tai Chi” class on Tuesday mornings at 10:00am with Barry!
In keeping with our “Be Active, Be Healthy” crusade, our goal is to get as many families out and walking/running at our Annual “Run The Park” Road Races on Sunday, May 21. We are searching for enthusiastic sponsors who are willing to give back to our community by joining this year’s event. Please contact the office to participate. Details about registration will be available soon.
After school programs to look for are Tennis, Golf, Volleyball, Field Hockey, Manners, Fashion/Sewing, Junior Science Lab, Intro to Rock, Voice, Fencing Lego and more. The department also offers a consignment Winter Ticket Program to area attractions, please check website for details. The department’s Daddy- Daughter Dance for Westfield Residents will be on Sunday, March 12 from 5pm-8pm for girls in grades 1-6 and their dads. Participants are encouraged to register online. Senior Transportation Services are also offered through the Recreation Department for Westfield residents for medical appointments and shopping. Senior residents must register in advance for this service. Please call 908-301-1287 or visit our website for additional information.
