Westfield Police Officers Carry the “Flame of Hope”

Westfield Officers Carry Special Olympics Torch

Members of the Westfield Police Department took part in this year’s Special Olympics Torch Run held on June 11, 2021 by carrying the “Flame of Hope” through Westfield. It is a statewide, daylong marathon along 26 separate routes, involving 3,000 New Jersey law enforcement officers.

The entire run for the Elizabeth / Union County run is from Elizabeth to Hillsborough. Each municipal police department carries the flame through their town.

The Westfield Police Department is a proud supporter of the Special Olympics New Jersey.
