Garden Club of Westfield’s “June Garden of the Month”

Garden of the Month

The Garden Club of Westfield has selected the beautiful garden of Jessica and Richard Stewart at 226 West Dudley Avenue, Westfield as their June Garden of the Month. Mrs. Stewart’s interest in plants began in her high school days when she worked at a nursery. Mr. Stewart enjoys planting colorful annuals in their urn, containers and hanging baskets. The garden’s oval shape with a focal point of an elegant urn surrounded by fragrant lavender is inviting and a delight for the senses. Brilliant lime green spirea displayed with purple alliums and Siberian irises are spectacular. Clipped boxwood provide decorative forms as well as serving as a backdrop for other plants. A variety of shrubs and perennials add color throughout the seasons. These include hydrangeas, roses, peonies, catmint, Black-eyed Susan, salvia and coneflowers.
