Westfield’s Annual AppleFest

The Westfield Historical Society’s AppleFest committee is pleased to invite our local community to the 11th annual AppleFest on Saturday, October 19 from noon-4:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Reeve History & Cultural Resource Center, 314 Mountain Avenue in Westfield.

Join the Westfield Historical Society and hundreds of friends and neighbors on Saturday, October 19, 2019, as we celebrate “Ringing in Westfield 300”! The day’s events and activities will go back in time, to highlight the culture and history of our town in yester years up to today!

This annual fund-raising event, hosted on the lawn of the Reeve House on Mountain Avenue, draws all ages. For AppleFest 2019, our celebrated Apple Café will feature an All-American BBQ with old and newer twists, presented by chef Greg Hichok. Our traditional Apple Pie-baking contest will include a historic recipe category and the Westfield-grown band “Save Mary” will play cover tunes from the last 40 years, while the Westfield Ballroom dancers will swirl around. Historic-themed displays, a school art contest along with more of last year’s popular Lightning Talks will round up the day’s activities. Of course, there will be an assortment of old-fashioned kids’ games and several quizzes for young and older! Thank you, as always, for your commitment to this town and its future. We look forward to seeing you on October 19.

AppleFest is an opportunity to explore history with friends and neighbors, while setting traditions that will hopefully mark the future of our area. Please join us on October 19.

The Westfield Historical Society celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. Since 1968, the 501(c)(3) non-profit Westfield Historical Society has worked to preserve, interpret and encourage interest in history, Westfield, and its residents through educational efforts and community outreach programs.
