Dream Team Promotes Healthy Choices
The Westfield High School Dream Team hosted its popular Hot Chocolate event to promote substance abuse awareness and to encourage students to make healthy decisions.
As part of the annual event, students were given a factual statement regarding drug and alcohol abuse and prevention. The paper statement also invited them to stop by the WHS Student Center during their lunch period to read the fact aloud and receive a steaming cup of hot chocolate.
The Hot Chocolate Holiday event is sponsored by the Westfield Municipal Alliance, which creates and supports programs for substance abuse prevention education. The Alliance also sponsors the Dream Team, a student club that encourages healthy choices and provides drug/alcohol free social events to the school community.
