Washington School Wins Mathleague NJ State Championship

Washington School students participated in the NJ State Championship held by Mathleague.org at The Pingry School on May 6th and ranked 1st amongst all participating schools in New Jersey. Additionally, the team composed ofEuan Kang, Vidit Jain, Thomas Mu, and Adam Zhang brought home the championship title in the team round, earning the school a big trophy.

Among all schools that participated in the State Championship, Washington School had the highest number of students who qualified for the National Championship, which will take place in College Station, Texas, in June 2023 (i.e., Out of the 16 students who qualified for the Nationals, 7 students are from Washington School). Thomas Mu (3rd place in 5th grade and qualified for Nationals), Ayansh Ahluwalia (7th place in 5th grade and qualified for Nationals), Ahren Dixit (8th place in 5th grade and qualified for Nationals), Peichen Yu (9th place in 5thgrade and qualified for Nationals), Vidit Jain, Euan Kang, and Adam Zhang (Qualified for Nationals).
