Walk for CAKE and Mental Health Fair
For the second year, the Westfield Mental Health Council will host a Walk for CAKE and Mental Health Fair on Sunday, April 30. CAKE is the Mental Health Council’s ongoing initiative emphasizing Compassion, Acceptance, Kindness and Empathy. The goal of the day is to help reduce the stigma of mental health and provide resources for the community.
Volunteers are needed. Volunteer positions include: morning check-in, stations in the park, distribution of cake, parking and street crossing, fair set-up and general coordination. Interested in helping out in another area? Just let us know.
The Walk for CAKE will be held in Mindowaskin Park from 10:30 a.m. – Noon. The Mental Health Fair will be held across the street at the Bauer Branch of the Westfield Area YMCA from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. All events are free and open to the community.
