Veterans Garden at Hehnly School
In honor of Veterans Day, the students in the Frank K. Hehnly School’s Mentor Link (Looking Into the Needs of Kids) program spruced up the school’s Veterans Garden. The mentor links students were able to safely interact with each other during an outdoor rock painting activity.
The rocks, in addition to the new mulch, lights and signs donated by the Hehnly PTA, helped to create a deserving tribute to our nation’s veterans. School Counselor Joe Sortino stated, “Thank you to our students, Mrs. Caplette, Mrs. Gomes, and the Cassidy Family for all of your help. Please be sure to stop and check out the garden!”
