Union Senior Center garden

Bocce ball is an old Italian lawn game. The Township Of Union Senior Center has a bocce ball court located in front of the building. When the court became out of favor with the seniors it was put to another use, a garden for all to enjoy.

Phyllis Monguso, Supervisor of Senior Citizens Activities,  recalls “The garden started about 6 years ago, I thought it would be nice for the seniors to enjoy and take care of, and also enjoy its yield. As the garden grows they pick what they want, It’s an activity they enjoy.”
